How can anyone believe that healthcare, upon which their life depends, can be best delivered by players who’s primary aim, personally and legally, is to maximize the return on their investment? This makes no sense! Think about it!
Healthcare as a mercenary enterprise must increase the cost and decrease the quality of care. When it comes to my own health, I will take competence and skill over someone’s profit motivation every time. Profit as a motivator has no place in the operating room. Pride and joy in workmanship, which is destroyed by the profit motive, will do just fine.
Do something… anything you can…to overthrow the amoral tyranny of profiteering in matters relating to the survival of human beings.
